Chillin out

There's a nippy chill outside now as the temperature decreases. Ultimate is only lasting a few hours because it is also getting dark, it starts at 5:00. We've switched to puffy jackets and toques.
Toronto was freakin fantastic. Damn I like that city.. let me clarify.. I like that city on a holiday or weekend when traffic is minimal. The resources there are phenomenal. Chinatown has so many grocery stores to stock up at. I managed to find a computer store at the last minute to purchase a computer case for my naked motherboard at home (easier to ship that way), and BULK FOOD. Quebec has 0 bulk food stores. One little earthy store has some bulk items (10 maybe) but even Thriftys has more than that. We stocked up on breakfast granola and nuts. What a great city to visit. I think the thing that surprised me most about Toronto was that it didn't feel like a big city. It's nothing like Vancouver. There's lots of greenery, there's even an entire valley of trees going through the middle of the city. I've heard the pollution is bad there but I didn't see it at the time. I almost bought a 19" LCD but I had 20 minutes to decide and backed off because they wouldn't let me test the screen for dead pixels.
I start with a new teacher and their classes today (I switch teachers every cycle which is 9 days) so I have 2 new groups today. It's pretty fun working with the students when they behave. I haven't kicked anyone out of class yet, although I came close twice.
We're waiting for the landlords to turn the heat on. In the mean time we have the heating blanket hooked up.
