Moose are huge!

We went hiking in Park du Jacques Cartier on Sunday around 10am. We decided to walk one of the easier trails since it was pouring rain. I was ahead by 10 meters or so and looking down at the path when I heard "Aaron!". I turned around and saw Mabel moving her eyes to her right, to get me to look over. I turned around slowly and there about 30 meters away is a mother, baby and medium sized male moose with a small antler, all looking at me. I turned and backed away slowly towards Mabel. As I got closer to her a giant alpha male came around the corner I was walking towards. It had a full set of antlers. It watched for a bit and as we backed off it started eating shrubs and walked over to the others. Phew, those things are huge. So far that's 7 we've run into.
