Preparing for November

We've been told that November is the worst month in Quebec for rain. We're working on finding places to play badminton, tennis and go swimming. Looks like there's a good place out in Beauport near Mabel's school. It's also on my bus route.
Yesterday we went walking in the rain, shopping for a few things like a couch/futon for the living room and to go to 'chinatown'. Chinatown consists of 3 stores, but they're great! We went to get taco shells at our usual Mexican store and went to their cafe which is right next door. The food was great and cheap. Mexican people are always so nice.. more so than Quebeqoi. Makes me wish I was learning Spanish but lets not go there right now. I'm going to be here for a while and have to keep up with my French. Hmm we do know a Spanish teacher... ok ok anyway.
I picked out a movie to watch from the library and took it out along with Moby - Hotel. Normally we'd get a DVD but our DVD player has 'gone missing'. So we got home with our movie and I worked on fixing the VCR. We got a free VCR from friends in town and they said it didn't work, it was just an inbetween from the DVD player to the TV. I messed around with it and got it 90% working after re-aligning the audio reading head. Mabel said I should have my own repair shop. I used to want to but computers took over. Maybe I will still, it's a lot of fun. Or at least work in one part time for kicks.
Hoping to go hiking up Mont. St. Anne today if it's not too wet and muddy.
