Last day of work is over!

Mabel finished last Friday, I finished today. Back in January it seemed like May 30th was so far away but thank goodness we held in there. We're fully packed and ready to head out. We leave Thursday morning early and hope to take ~8 days to get across the country back to BC. We're really excited to see all of you on our way.
Tofino, here we come. Break out the big swell!

PS. This is our 100th blog posting. Pretty nice number from our time of leaving to Quebec and our departure for BC.

Finished another book, The Da Vinci code.. amazing. So far this book has held my attention more than any other. I wish I could keep reading it but alas, there are no more pages. Time to check out the movie.

I finished this book a week ago. Everyone should read this and read it to their teenagers. Start them off early.. it's excellent. If you know Mabel, then you have likely read this.

Ten hours of driving to PEI and totally worth it. Although we had rain most of the time, the mornings were excellent with hot sunshine and lots of beaches to walk along. On Saturday night we cooked two local lobsters in our cabin. We have a week to recover and prepare for the journey home! Andrew and Nat were great competition for Settlers and Racing Daemons.

Camping at Portneuf. Very fun, very hot, and cold water - but some were brave enough! Check out other photos at: http://mabelandaaron.myphotoalbum.com/

The stove packs up really small and has a great form shaped case. It came with a nice bottle but we just used our MSR one since is already had fluel in it.

New camp stove. It's the Brunton Nova Multifuel Stove. We took it to the park today and made some noodles. It works really well, way better than my WhisperLite ever did. I'm looking forward to taking it to PEI and on the trip back to BC.

Hot and Humid. That's the new trend for QC and we like it! I've had to get out the sunscreen as I've already gotten a bit red. Mabel is shading nicely of course.. lucky duck.

Just finished another book, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. It's quite different from the books I've been reading. Overall, it was interesting enough to keep me reading and had a unique story.

Our first hike in Parc du Jacque Cartier. The park is closed until next week but the trail by the road is open. It was roasting today.. very very hot.
